A postcard featuring a handpainted photograph of a girl with toys next to a decorated Christmas tree, with a message on the back. The message at the top centre reads "Herzlich / Weihnachtsgrube". The address on the back reads "Mr E. Schaffhauser / Cairns / North Queensland / Australien [sic]. The message is in a foreign language, possibly German or a Swiss dialect.
