Description from source
-
A cartoon sketch of life at the Australian Prisoner of War and Internment Camp, Tatura, Victoria. The sketch is entitled 'The U.K.L.: Galleria Del Campo: Tipi, Macchiette, Caricature ecc'. This drawing was souvenired by Marco Gazzi a fellow inmate, who was also one of the Dunera contingent of civil internees who came out from England in 1941 after he was arrested there while working in a business run by an Italian family [relatives] and hence deemed to be an 'enemy alien'. The sketch bears the title: 'La nostra chieseta di Tatura'.
