Title translated into English: Tour of Australia, South Africa, and the Americas.
Synopsis of content: This is a report on the mining industries of Australia, South Africa, North America and South America based on a study tour of those countries in 1936. While in Australia, Oda, a lecturer from Kyushu Imperial University, visited steelworks, processing plants and mines in Newcastle, Yallourn, Broken Hill, Port Pirie and Kalgoorlie. The report includes details on production methods and amounts, type and quality of materials, and other aspects of mining practice and steel production. He also reports in detail (for all countries) the accident and death rates in the industry categorised by the type and location of the mine.
