Abstract: Αthanasios Diakos association was founded c in 1973 and it was part of a group of Greek associations and brotherhoods which founded the Greek Community Council (1977 - 1988). The Greek Community Council (1977 - 1988) managed to include the Greek language in 17 government primary schools across Sydney, also participated in the establishment of the Greek festival of Sydney, and in the Dionisios Solomos awards,
