Description
Three exercise books containing journal entries and text written in Greek by Peter Veneris. The journals were written in various locations in Queensland and are dated 1944, 1945 and 1952. The 1944 volume contains entries written in Townsville, the 1952 volume is titled has 'Murgon' written on the cover.

Administrative / Biographical history
Peter Veneris was originally from Kythera in Greece. He came to Australia just before the Second World War during which he served in the Australian Army. After the war he spent time working in a number of Queensland towns before eventually settling in Biloela where he ran a drapery business. There is a park named after him in Biloela.
