81 cm, Detailed listing available
Includes autobiographical notes, schoolwork samples, drawings, correspondence, sewing samples, wartime needlework designed and embroidered by Lucy Dowling during 1940-1944 (2 tablecloths and 6 doilies on khaki cotton, which was also the material used for soldiers' uniforms. Only 4 coloured cotton threads were available: red green, yellow and orange. These were also used in military emblems, while brown thread was likely a leftover from the pre-war period)
