Description from source
Letter on card (in Dutch) sent to the Perdon family from Bill (Van de) Wydeven, brother of Johanna Perdon, who was working as a forced labourer in Germany, 5 April, 1943. Typical of the propaganda circulating in Europe during the War, the stamp (in German) states: 'The Fuhrer knows only struggle, work and worry. We would like to lighten his load for him.' This item belonged to Johanna and Theodorus Perdon who migrated to Australia from the Netherlands in 1952.
