Small, rectangular, yellowed paper with dark blue print, ‘RESPONSE INTERNATIONAL’, 30 Reichspfennig, coupon, in German. Reverse scalloped outer border, with linear inner border, around two decorative panels either side of central, gothic German and French text. Decorative panels have central, plain circular space for ink stamp. Left side stamped with ‘BREMEN/ 25.1.39/ 5’ in black ink. Reverse is plain, with simple blue text, in four languages; German, English, Spanish and Italian. English reads ‘This coupon is exchangeable in any country of the Union/ for a postage stamp or postage stamps representing the/ amount of the postage on a single-rate ordinary letter/ addressed to a foreign country.’. Paper folded into quarters.
