Abstract 
a. Extract of a letter written to a naval officer. Hobart Town, 26 December 1827. b. Report to the Minister of Marine (?) on the movements of the ‘Astrolabe’ after leaving Port Jackson until the arrival at Amboyna, 7 September 1827. 44 page report on Dumont d’Urville’s search for the site of the disaster of La Perous, relating to Tasmania, New Zealand, Tonga Islands and the South Sea Islands. c. Report on the second search for signs of the fate of the La Perouse, from his departure from Hobart Town, 5 January 1828 till his arrival at Batavia, 29 April 1828. A 31 page report of the voyage among the South Sea Islands. Refers to Captain Dillon and the discovery of La Perouse’s fate.
